Nov. 5, 2023 – Announcement of Candidacy
“My name is Barbara Aycock and I am proud and excited to announce my candidacy for re-election for 2024 Wayne County Commissioner for District One. My campaign is to continue to serve my community as your commissioner if re-elected and continue to adhere to principles of honestly, fairness, responsibility and respect.
Wayne County is growing so we must prepare to make changes. We need a workable plan for infrastructure to attract businesses because our economy relies on good paying jobs. Schools need help providing a good education for our children and there is a growing need for daycares in our area. The military members need affordable housing solutions.”
